Topic:
Asking, Telling and All Our Reasons Why.

Summary:

"Don't Ask, Don't Tell:"  A military policy, a political compromise, and before that,  in so many case, the family's decisoin on how to deal with it's LGBT members.  In these latter cases, it might just as well have been called quiet denial as much as quiet acceptance., since the intention of keeping it quiet is always to keep the unspoken "out of sight, out of mind."

Still, many of us acknowledge full-well in our heads that the details of our love lives (and to a great extent, our sex lives) are essentially, delivered on a need to know basis.   And yet we desire to tell those who really don't need to know.  In fact we struggle when we can't tell the whole wide world.

So is telling our story so important?  Why?

Who in our lives have we yet to tell?  And who in our lives could we have just as well never told?

If the old adage is correct, that "the need to know is based on the need to act," then what action - simple or highly skilled and complex acts alike - do we seek from those to whom we would bare our souls and our bodies?

Let's share who we tell and why. Come and express how your inner feelings about the telling and the acting (and even the acting out).  Or you can always just hang out and listen to what others have to say in BiRequest's fabulously safe, non-judgmental environment.

Open to all Bi and bi-friendly folks, of any age, race, gender, sexual or relational orientation. Ours is a tiny example of the rainbow; a safe space to share your perspective and insights into all things Bi.

And if you can’t join us for the meeting, catch up with us for dinner, round 8:15-ish, at...

Good Stuff Diner
109 West 14th Street
(north side of 14th St, just west of 6th Ave)
~ a short walk from the Center

PostScript regarding restaurants:
If you  would like to help expand our palette of dining options, suggestion are welcomed.
We need a place that can accommodate 20+ people from 8:15pm for about an hour  on a given Thursday - both in seating us, and relative speed for serving too.
We also need the menu to have some vegetarian options, and to be fairly reasonable in cost.
